Safeguarding the profession and the public

Fitness to Practise case studies

The latest FtP case study focusses on lawful behaviour, where a registrant was given a Reprimand for a relevant offence. Staying on the right side of the law is essential to good practice for registrants.

We’ve created these case studies to help registrants avoid possible pitfalls, and to show what happens when a registrant breaks the Code.

The Quality Mark for Youth Work in Wales

Congratulations to the Vale of Glamorgan youth service and Powys youth service, who have renewed their bronze QMYW.

Summer events series continues

Diolch to those of you who you popped by our stand (or to the very popular Ystafell Athrawon) at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Ynys Môn at the end of May. We had a great week talking to so many of you, sharing updates, and hearing your experiences. We also welcomed the chance to catch up with partner organisations, and even had a visit from the new Minister for Education and Welsh Language, Anna Brychan, who joined us for a chat (and a quick game of Jenga!).

We’ll be at the National Eisteddfod in Llantwd during the first week of August, where we will be joined by our Chief Executive and Director of Regulation on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Pop over to the stand to have a chat.

We’ll come to you!

Did you know we deliver training and workshops to our registrant groups and stakeholders, including school governors and training institutions. If you're planning training for the next academic year, fill out this form to invite us along.
