“We don’t tell the teachers”: understanding and addressing sexual harassment in education settings

This event will support education practitioners to understand the uneven, diverse, and normalised ways in which children and young people experience peer-to-peer sexual harassment, in education settings, online, and in their communities.

Drawing on the latest research and resources, the event will offer ideas on how to build a “preventative and proactive” whole-organisation approach to addressing sexual harassment in ways that put rights, diversity, equity, and young people’s voices in the foreground. It will also include young people’s own recommendations on what needs to change.
