Developing the professionally-led education system in Wales: Leading educational improvement during and beyond the pandemic
In partnership with Swansea University's School of Education
28 April 2021, 13:00 - 15:00 | Zoom webinar
The Covid-19 crisis is having a significant impact on both educators and learners, and this will need our attention in the immediate future and beyond.
Protecting the interests of learners has been a priority focus throughout the crisis. Needless to say, their learning, equity and well-being will continue to be priorities. But if we do not place the same emphasis on supporting educators' professional lives and well-being, we will continue to face challenges.
Join us and expert in education change, Professor Carol Campbell in a free interactive masterclass in developing the professionally-led education system in Wales.
What will we explore?
With a focus on leading educational improvement during and beyond the pandemic, we’ll explore:
- what a professionally-led education system looks like, and the complexities of developing it during a pandemic;
- the impact of the crisis on educators’ professional lives so far, and priorities for attention;
- ways to support leadership development, professional learning and practice to support better outcomes for learners both now and in the future; and
- key goals for the upcoming school year.
Carol Campbell is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto Ontario. She is currently supporting the Welsh Government’s Leadership Review, which focuses on the support available for school leaders, and the support they’ll need to enable them to realise the new curriculum.
Who is the event aimed at?
